The facade (16) has two upper extensions projecting from a body (20) of the facade towards the top and two lower extensions (22) projecting from the body towards the bottom, where the facade is directly fixed to the sides of a body shell by the upper extensions. The facade includes a thermoplastic material layer reinforced by glass fibers and a metallic layer. A crosspiece extends beneath and parallel to the body by connecting the lower extensions. An independent claim is also included for a method of fabricating an internal rear facade for a vehicle.
