<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect an intention of a host device to data migration executed by a storage device. <P>SOLUTION: A host manager preliminarily registers a host-side data migration policy to an operation management server 30. When data migration by the storage device 20 is started, the management server 30 compares a storage-side data migration policy with the host-side data migration policy, and permits the execution of the data migration by the storage device 20 when both the policies are matched. When both the policies are mismatched, the management server 30 prohibits the execution of the data migration by the storage device 20. The management server 30 counts the frequency of the mismatching of both the policies, and generates and transmits a report for drawing attentions of the host manager and a storage manager to each manager. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
