<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable transmitting/receiving system and portable transmitting/receiving apparatus used therefor capable of improving performance of call arrival at the portable transmitting/receiving apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A speech management apparatus 60 comprises, in addition to a plurality of base stations 64 for enabling a speech between mobile terminals and between a mobile terminal and a fixed phone 12, a broadcasting station 72 for transmitting information regarding call origination using a broadcasting wave of a lower frequency than a carrier for speech, and each mobile terminal 30 comprises a broadcasting wave receiving section capable of receiving a broadcasting wave. An exchange control station 70 transmits the information regarding call origination, using a broadcasting wave, from the broadcasting station 72 in a state where the mobile terminal 30 can not perform transmission/reception using the carrier wave for speech. In the broadcasting wave, a sneak of radio wave is improved rather than the carrier for speech, so that the mobile terminal can also receive the information regarding call origination by the broadcasting wave receiving section even in the state where transmission/reception can not be performed by the carrier for speech.
