<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alternating current control device aiming at a stable operation and preventing arc interruption to the utmost by stably maintaining arc current and arc voltage by supplying power through an inverter device, suppressing flicker as same as direct current arc furnace. <P>SOLUTION: On the alternating current arc furnace to which alternating current power is supplied through the inverter device, a control means, controlling an arc current so as to become constant, is provided by inserting a suitable reactor between the inverter device and the alternating current arc furnace, detecting an arc current flowing through the alternating current arc furnace, changing an output frequency of the inverter device according to the change of the detected current, and by changing an impedance of a power supply circuit for the arc furnace including the inverter device and the reactor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
