PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately measure a stator core installed to a housing, and to make a gap to a rotor uniform and adequate. SOLUTION: A stator 12 comprises a the stator core 22 composed of 24 pieces of divided cores 24, and the housing 20. A measuring device 10 comprises a pedestal 30 and a measuring jig 32. Upper reference pins 64, 65 protruded downward from the measuring jig 32 are inserted into reference holes 26, 27 formed at the housing 20, and the measuring jig 32 is positioned. The rotating part 54 of the measuring jig 32 rotates by each angle of 15°in a hollow part of the stator core 22 with a shaft as a center that uses the housing 20 as a reference, and measures a distance to the internal peripheral face 22a of the housing. The displacement of the stator core 22 is measured on the basis of the average or the sum of an X-coordinate component value and a Y-coordinate component value of measured data.
