PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector with a protection plug preventing water intrusion into a cavity due to the improper deformation of a rubber stopper even if high-pressure water is blown from behind the connector, because the cylindrical protection plug is fixed in the cavity as to cover the rear-end face of the rubber stopper, so that the rubber stopper is made to be free from the improper deformation. SOLUTION: A method for forming a structure of this connector comprises steps of: inserting terminal fittings 20 into the cavity 13 of a housing 10; leading out the wire 24 which is connected to the rear-end portion of the terminal fittings 20 from the rear-end face of the housing 10 to the outside; and firmly fitting the rubber stopper 25 fitted on the outer circumference of the wire 24 with the inner circumference of the cavity 13.
