PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize fuel injection of a wide dynamic range without making the construction larger or more complicated than heretofore. SOLUTION: A communication passage 4 is provided between the downstream side of a fuel injection valve 3-1 in an intake port 1-1 for feeding fuel to a cylinder 6-1 and the downstream side of a fuel injection valve 3-4 in an intake port 1-4 for feeding the fuel to a cylinder 6-4. A communication passage 5 is provided between the downstream side of a fuel injection valve 3-2 in an intake port 1-2 for feeding the fuel to a cylinder 6-2 and the downstream side of a fuel injection valve 3-3 in an intake port 1-3 for feeding the fuel to a cylinder 6-3. One of the cylinder 6-1 and the cylinder 6-4 is in an expansion or compression stroke when the other is in an intake stroke.
