PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rotate a motor to continue combustion when the battery voltage is a fixed value or more in a gas type dryer in which the motor is rotated by the battery power supply to actuate a gas passage opening and closing means between a gas cylinder and a burner. SOLUTION: This gas type dryer includes: a motor of a fan; a burner for burning gas to convert gas to hot air; an igniter; a power supply battery for driving the motor; a power supply voltage detecting means 51 for the battery; a gas passage opening and closing means for opening and closing the gas passage between the gas cylinder and the burner; an operating switch; and an ignition timer, wherein the rotation of the motor is stopped and the gas passage is closed by the gas passage opening and closing means when non-ignition is detected by a temperature detecting means during counting of the ignition timer for a fixed time.
