PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of the quality of an image in a case when a period using the same nozzle and a period of delivering and non-delivering coincide with each other. SOLUTION: When a printing apparatus performing printing by delivering a recording material while scanning is performed by a plurality of nozzles, is controlled, a constitution comprises acquiring image data expressing the image by a plurality of pixels, determining a period of use for the same nozzle in the scanning, determining successively presence or absence of delivering on every pixel based on the image data, and printing the image according to the determined presence or absence of delivering. When the presence or absence of delivering is to be determined, the pixels for which the presence or absence of delivering has been determined are referred, and the presence or absence of delivering is determined so that such the pixel that indicates delivering of the recording material by a period with an integer multiple of the period of use, is not introduced.
