The invention relates to a heat exchanger (10) for a motor vehicle, for example, a charge-air cooler, which comprises a central section (12) for exchanging heat between a fluid which is to be cooled and cooling air; a first and a second collecting container (14, 16) between which the central section (12) is arranged and which are connected to fluid channels of the central section (12); a fluid inlet (18) which is connected to one of the collecting containers (14, 16) in order to guide the fluid which is to be cooled from the inlet pipe (22) to a heat exchanger (10); and a fluid outlet (24) which is connected to one of the collecting containers (14, 16) in order to discharge the cooled fluid from the heat exchanger (10) to an outlet pipe (28). According to the invention, the fluid inlet (18) and/or the fluid outlet (24) are connected to a collecting container (14, 16) via a tube section (20, 26) made of an elastic material in order to reduce bending stress in the region of the collecting container (14, 16) based on the high pressure of an inflowing and an outflowing fluid.
