<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a signal bundle line which is used in the serial communication system of a conventional image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus equipped with a DC power line 100, a master module 2 for managing control of a plurality of modules in a predetermined portion inside the image forming apparatus, and slave modules 3, 4 for performing control of the predetermined portion, the master module 2 and the slave module 3 are equipped with modulation demodulation means 22 and 31 respectively. A bandpass filter 36 having a frequency band inherent in each slave module is connected between the DC power line and the modulation demodulation means 31 provided in the slave module 3, and the slave module 3 performs communication between the master module 2 and the slave module 3 by superposing a carrier wave on the DC power line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
