PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facing ring of a display board for a clock capable of expanding design variation, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The facing ring abutting on the outer edge of the display board for a clock from the upside comprises a ground layer disposed on a facing surface of a substrate of the facing ring, and a decorating layer disposed on the front surface side of the ground layer. A laser beam is radiated to the decorating layer in a pattern shape to transpire the irradiated section of the decorating layer, thereby forming a pattern-like exposed section on the ground layer.
