摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection precision regarding the abnormality of the angular velocity sensor by detecting the oscillation frequency of the oscillator from the signal corresponding to the oscillation state. <P>SOLUTION: The angular velocity sensor comprises: the oscillator 1; the piezoelectric bodies 13, 14 being impressed with a driving signal for exciting the oscillator 1; the piezoelectric bodies 15, 16 for detecting the monitor signal corresponding to the oscillation of the oscillator 1; and the signal process circuit 100 for outputting the driving signal adjusted capable of keeping a certain oscillation amplitude of the ossillator 1. The signal process circuit 100 is provided with: a frequency dividing circuit 121 for outputting the frequency dividing signal by dividing the monitor signal or the driving signal; and the abnormality detection circuit 121 for detecting the abnormality of the oscillation, on the basis of whether the frequency of the frequency divided signal belongs to a prescribed frequency range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
