PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle-mounted camera which is capable of outputting video signals of different imaging areas available in a plurality of systems and functions as a plurality of cameras. SOLUTION: The vehicle-mounted camera comprises a video data reading means (address generator 4), a plurality of output systems for outputting video signals containing video data outputted by the video data reading means, and a video data output switching means (connection switching circuit 5). The video data reading means includes an image receiving unit wherein a plurality of photo-sensors are arrayed in a two-dimensional manner and comprises an image sensor (e.g., CMOS image sensor) capable of outputting video data for each of pixels formed by the photo-sensors, a plurality of read areas with different positions or sizes on the image receiving unit are set to the video data reading means in advance or set appropriately according to a command from the outside, and the video data reading means outputs video data of pixels within the read areas sequentially from the image sensor. The video data output switching means switches a connection destination of video data output to any output system in accordance with the operation of the video data reading means.
