PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a time required for retrieving an image file, in a data transfer method, an information processor and an information recording/reproducing system, which transmit the image file associated with music data simultaneously with the music data. SOLUTION: This processor acquires the music data stored in a recording device 52, based on indications to transmit it to a player 5, by searching, sequentially in predetermined order, a storing place where it is considered that the image file is stored, and transmits an acquired image file associated with the music data to the player.
