<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective control method for obtaining desired ink-repelling property on a black matrix surface in a method for manufacturing a black matrix substrate, so as to obtain excellent smoothness of pixels and to prevent color irregularity, color drop (void) or color mixing due to overflow of ink. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a substrate with a black matrix containing an ink-repelling agent on a transparent substrate, the thermosetting temperature of the black matrix 2 and/or the thermosetting period are controlled so as to control a contact angle in a peak portion of the black matrix 2 with a color ink to 30° to 60°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
