<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide air capable of imparting the effect of improving the biological function of a person regardless of the individual preference of fragrance, and a method for improving a living space. <P>SOLUTION: The biological function improving air contains 1,3-dimethoxy-5-methylbenzene for 0.03-0.2 ppm by spatial concentration.
