The method involves covering a window with a safety foil (20) on its inner surface on sides of a passenger compartment. An adhesive foil (30) is arranged on an outer partial section and an area between a peripheral margin of the foil and a peripheral edge of the window. Another adhesive foil (32) is arranged between the foil (20) and an area of a carriage wall, where the adhesive foils are sticked and the window is fastened to the wall.
