<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism capable of achieving favorable reading comprehension of a document without making a reader refer to annoying dictionary reference. <P>SOLUTION: When an annotation is added to a word appearing in a Chinese document, and the document is scanned, a description indicating either one of pronunciation, meaning, and grammar/syntax of the word added with the annotation is presented.
