PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute a load imposed on an access destination. SOLUTION: This information processing system has a first controller and a second controller receiving requirement from a plurality of issuing sources, and performing writing or reading of data to a storage device in response to the requirement. The first controller sends back a response to the requirement from a first issuing source to at least one first issuing source among the plurality of issuing sources, and does not send back a response to the requirement from a second issuing source to the second issuing source except the first issuing source. The second controller does not send back the response to the requirement from the first issuing source to the first issuing source receiving the response from the first controller, and sends back the response from the second issuing source to the second issuing source not receiving the response from the first controller.
