PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display high picture quality animation on a liquid crystal display having no blurred picture. SOLUTION: When input video information, which is to be displayed in the video display region that is a portion of the display region of a liquid crystal display device and has luminance information and color difference information, is received, luminance difference information is obtained by subtracting delayed luminance information, that is obtained by delaying the input video information for one frame, from the luminance information of the input video information. Color difference information is obtained by subtracting delayed color difference information, obtained by delaying the input video information for one frame, from the color difference information of the input video information. Then, an emphasis correction coefficient is multiplied to the luminance difference information and the color difference information. The delayed luminance information is added to the emphasis correction multiplied luminance difference information and the delayed color difference information is added to the emphasis correction coefficient multiplied color difference information to obtain emphasis video information which is emphasized video information, the emphasis video information is converted into the emphasis gradation information which is the gradation information related to red, green and blue and displaying the video display region of the liquid crystal display device is conducted based on the emphasis gradation information.
