PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent effects of variation of characteristics of a circuit arranged in a signal course to a laser driver, and also to speed up transfer of image data for scanning exposure. SOLUTION: In the beam light scanner, data of each line is distributed by an image data I/F 56 to data streams of two systems of an odd-number pixel train and an even-number pixel train. The data of streams of two systems are written in parallel to a plurality of memories (113 and 114) by means (111, 112, and 118) in response to a line synchronizing signal by each stream. Moreover, the data is read out in parallel from each of the memories (113 and 114) by means (115, 116 and 119) for the same processing period as that of the writing. The data of the two systems are synthesized by a multiplexer (117) into one data stream of a pixel order of each line. A drive signal based on the data is generated by a PWM (55B).
