摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator unit having high power generation efficiency and cooling capacity, capable of eliminating the temperature distribution in the fuel cell stack, appropriately controlling temperature of the fuel cell, appropriately maintaining humidity of the fuel cell, and capable of increasing the output of the fuel cell, by locally changing the numerical aperture of a current collector made of a porous body. <P>SOLUTION: The separator unit comprises a separator body of plate-shape which is installed in the fuel cells interposing the electrolyte layer between a fuel electrode and an oxygen electrode and shuts off a fuel gas supplied to the fuel electrode and an oxidation gas supplied to the oxygen electrode, and a current collector of mesh-shape which is installed on one side or both sides of the separator body by contacting the fuel electrode or oxygen electrode, and on which openings to become a passage of the fuel gas or the oxidation gas are formed. The separator body has a coolant passage, formed for circulating a coolant inside, and in the current collector, the numerical aperture of the electrode abutting portion abutting against the fuel electrode, and the oxygen electrode is larger than the numerical aperture of the portion, other than the electrode-abutting portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
