<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new calcium reinforcing agent capable of stably dispersing and suspending for a long period without precipitation of hydroxyapatite in the case of suspending in water, and useful as food and drink for reinforcing calcium (for instance, paste product, liquid product and solid product) or medical drug. <P>SOLUTION: This calcium reinforcing agent is produced by subjecting hydroxyapatite ultrafine particles of ≤800 nm to surface treatment (for instance, ultrasonic treatment) using protein (casein, albumin or the like) or peptide (caseinphosphopeptide or the like), and if necessary reducing the product to powder or slurry.
