<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anisotropic scattering sheet which can be stably used over a long period without causing the unevenness of brightness or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The anisotropic scattering sheet is composed of at least an anisotropic light scattering layer which comprises a continuous phase and a particle-like dispersion phase having mutually different refractive indexes, wherein a mean aspect ratio of the particle-like dispersion phase is larger than 1 and the major axis of the particle-like dispersion phase is oriented in one direction, and is heat-treated. In a manufacturing method of the anisotropic scattering sheet, heat treatment temperature is preferably 70°C or more and, in the typical method, it is preferable that the sheet is uniaxially stretched by rolling to be orientated and, thereafter, is heat-treated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
