PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making molding sand by which regenerated sand providing excellent mold strength is obtained from a mold obtained by using particularly spherical molding sand. SOLUTION: When the molding sand is regenerated from the mold obtained by using the spherical molding sand made by a flame fusion method as the molding sand, fine powder content in the recovered sand obtained by crushing the mold is set to be≤0.3 pt.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the recovered sand.
