<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly photograph small changes of brightness in details of a photographed object and generate data appropriate for signal processing in a device which is connected to the outside of a photographing apparatus and asynchronously operates. <P>SOLUTION: Photographing signals from a solid-state image sensor (4) are amplified (5) and A/D converted (6), and then gradation converted (7). In addition, header information is inserted (13) and transmitted to an image signal processing means (9) in the outside through an interface means (13).
