<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head protection airbag capable of smoothly deploying and inflating a pillar cover part even if the head of an occupant comes close to the pillar part. <P>SOLUTION: The head protection airbag 21 is equipped with a gas inflow part 22 capable of inflating so as to separate a wall part 22a of an inside of the vehicle from the wall part 22b of an outside of the vehicle by making the inflation gas flow, and a non-inflow part 29 making no inflation gas flow. The gas inflow part 22 is equipped with a window cover part 26 capable of covering the window, and the pillar cover part 27 capable of covering the pillar part. The airbag 21 is roll folded in folding so as to approximate an end edge 27a of a pillar part side in the longitudinal direction in the pillar cover part 27 to a boundary portion 28 between a window cover part 26 and the pillar cover part 27 by winding the outside O of the vehicle of the pillar cover part 27, and stored in the peripheral edge of the window by folding so as to approximate the lower edge 21b side of the airbag 21 to the upper edge 21a side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
