PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing rice washer which can be easily operated even by a single hand without immersing hands in cold water in an ordinary home and which can wash food such as rice and can be easily supplied and drained with water. SOLUTION: A lid body 1 of a bamboo basket shape covers a vessel 2 formed in a bucket shape, a fastener 1a for simply fixing the vessel is provided at the lid body, a shaft inserting implement 5 which enables a washing brush 6 to be horizontally rotated is attached to a central part of the lid body, a shaft 4 is inserted therein, a handle 3 is attached to its upper part and a washing brush is attached to its lower part to form an agitating washing mechanism. By this constitution of the washing rice washer, food accompanied by washing waste water such as rice is held in the vessel, proper amount of water is supplied and then agitating washing is carried out by rotation of the washing brush by operating the handle, dewatering, water supply and water discharging can be carried out without removing the lid body.
