The wringer for floor mops comprises a rotating plate with a central recess (7) formed by two edges (5, 6) which slope down to a horizontal base (4). The mop head, which is fitted with a cleaning pad, is pushed into the recess to wring it out. Independent claims are included for: (1) a mop for use with the wringer; (2) pads for use on the mop; and (3) the combination of the mop, pad and wringer.
