The method involves depositing a totally non hardened adhesive in a sticking groove of a case and determining a relative position of a lens with respect to the case. The lens is applied on the case by inserting a base of the lens in the groove containing the adhesive. An additional mechanical lens fixation unit is formed by stamping and thermofusion. The thermofusion performed during the production of the lens fixation unit is obtained by utilizing a heating resistor and/or ultrasonic waves and/or laser radiation and/or infrared radiation. An independent claim is also included for a lighting and/or signaling device for a motor vehicle, obtained by a lens fixing method.
