FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment for drilling of grass seeds in sod. ^ SUBSTANCE: sod drill has frame carrying front carrier-drive wheels and rear wheels, seed box with seeding units and their drives, seed pipes, covering rolls, reducer for driving of seeding units, and rotavator section. The latter has working tools made in the form of disks with tillage knives, tillage depth adjustment mechanism, seed guides and housing. Shield-compactor is positioned within housing, behind working tools under seed guides for rotation around spindle and movement in conjunction with spindle in horizontal plane along slots in housing sides. Shield-compactor is made from metal plate connected in its lower part with additional plate made from elastic material such as fluoroplastic. ^ EFFECT: increased yield of sown seeds due to improved quality of seed embedding through soil depth. ^ 2 cl, 4 dwg |
