<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a cover lock mechanism for a printer, by which a cover frame can be securely locked to a printer frame, even if the position of the cover frame in a closed condition moves up and down. <P>SOLUTION: The cover frame 13 of the printer 1 is mounted to the printer frame 12 so as to be openable and closable at its rear edge acting as the center. The cover frame 13 is locked to the printer frame 12 by a lock mechanism 40. The lock mechanism 40 has a lock lever 44 and a hook 42. The lock lever 44 is arranged on the left edge of a lock plate 41, which is mounted slidably from side to side on the front edge of the cover frame 13. The hook 42 is arranged on the printer frame 12. When the cover frame 13 is closed, after the lock lever 44 hits the hook 42, the lock lever 44 goes over the hook 42 while the lock plate 41 slides to the left side, and then the lock lever 44 slides to the right side. Thereby, a securing surface 51c of the lock lever 44 is secured to the lock lever securing surface 42c of the hook 42 from the bottom, and a locking state is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
