The invention relates to a multi-purpose remote control device including an outer casing (1) containing an electric circuit with a microcontroller (6) which is connected to a single push button (2) which is in turn connected to a battery (7) including a radio frequency module (13), a built-in antenna (5), an LED (3) modulation output (4) and resistors (11 and 12). According to the invention, as a function of the pulses received by the microcontroller (6) at the input (14), either one channel or another channel is activated, each of said channels being associated with the emission of a code which activates a preprogrammed mechanism. The microcontroller (6) includes a diode (8), a Zener diode (10) and a small electrolytic capacitor (9) for powering same for at least a second and a half between one pulse and the next.
