DEVICE, PROPOSED BY NAKHABA O.O., FOR HOLDING HIGH-TEMPERATURE PLASMA IN A SPHERE VOLUME AND FOR CONTROLLING EMISSION OF THE PLASMA IN A SPECIFIED DIRECTION

摘要

The proposed device for holding high-temperature plasma in a sphere volume and for controlling emission of the plasma in a specified direction contains a spherical chamber with holes, which is installed in a sealed casing with a water barrier. The plasma is held in the central part of the chamber. In the chamber, air-core electromagnets with cone-shaped superconducting coils are installed. The electromagnets are designed for generating constant magnetic field that holds the plasma. Between the coils, passages are provided for cooling the coils with liquid helium.
