METHOD FOR STEREOTOPOMETRIC ASSESSMENT OF FACE PROPORTIONALITY

The method for stereotopometric assessment of face proportionality consists in obtaining the serial pictures by scanning the facial area with the spiral tomography. The scanning in performed from the anthropometric point in the edge of the chin to the point located in the bridge of the nose. The polygons for the face are plotted with the aid of computer when the coordinates of the anthropometric points are transferred to the virtual three-dimensional stage of the software. The specified anthropometric points are connected by the lines producing the series of the areas of polygons, triangles, and the angles. These figures are indicative of the state of face proportionality. The discordance of the proportional parameters suggests the presence of certain anatomical structures within the area.
