<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte film for fuel cell made of inorganic material having large proton conductivity, and a manufacturing method of the same. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte film for a fuel cell is used for the fuel cell capable of continuously generating power by supplying organic liquid fuel and gaseous oxidant to an anode (fuel electrode) and a cathode (oxygen electrode ) respectively. The electrolyte film interposed between the anode and the cathode is an inorganic porous thin film. Fine holes are arrayed on the thin film in thickness direction thereof, and the fine holes are made to penetrate toward cathode side at cathode side, and mesoporous silica formed by arraying very fine holes in film thickness direction is embedded in the fine hole. The electrolyte film is manufactured by forming a metal oxide porous thin film by anodizing a metallic thin film, forming fine holes of prescribed size by applying a chemical and physical etching on a barrier layer at tip end part of the fine holes, and by embedding the mesoporous silica in the fine holes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
