PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for timepiece that can markedly improve the design flexibility, using a simple structure with respect to a timepiece that displays classic display. SOLUTION: The display device for timepiece makes a day hand 142 reciprocate by a hour wheel 121, day driven wheel 131, cam 132, lever 134, gear wheel 135, or the like. These gear wheels 121, 131, the cam 132, the lever 134, the gear wheel 135 or the like can easily be arranged, depending on the space of a main plate 10X of movement, so that the structure of the display device 100 can be simplified. Also, the cam 132 is arranged between the rotating shaft 1331 of the lever 134 and the gear wheel 135, so that a plurality of parts can be arranged more compact, in comparison to that where the cam 132 is arranged at places other than that, thereby enabling a simple structure.
