PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens interchangeable camera which enables a photographer to devote himself or herself to photographing without worrying about unnecessary things. SOLUTION: A digital camera 2 includes a lock mechanism 40 for locking a state in which a lens unit 11 is set in a camera main body 2a, and an unlocking switch 47 for unlocking the lock mechanism 40. The unlocking switch 47 is disposed in a recessed portion 50 formed in a bottom of the camera main body 2a. The recessed portion is so formed that the unlocking switch 47 is lower than the bottom of the camera main body 2a. When the photographer grasps the camera main body 2a when photographing or carries it, there is no risk of his or her operating the unlocking switch 47 unexpectedly. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
