PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet type oxidative decomposition treatment apparatus and its catalyst washing method by which a catalyst can be easily washed to always maintain a catalyst function in a desirable state and consequently efficient wet type oxidative decomposition treatment can be maintained. SOLUTION: The wet type oxidative decomposition treatment apparatus is equipped with an oxidative decomposition treatment furnace having a reaction tower, in which liquid organic waste is continuously supplied by a high pressure pump and oxygen or air is also supplied therein to convert the liquid organic waste into intermediate products by wet type oxidative decomposition in a subcritical state, and a catalyst tower, which is connected with a downstream side of the reaction tower in series and in which oxygen or air is supplied to convert the intermediate products sent from the reaction tower in the subcritical state to inorganic materials by a catalyst. The wet type oxidative decomposition treatment apparatus is provided with a washing liquid switching supplying means which supplies catalyst washing liquid to the oxidative decomposition treatment furnace via the high pressure pump after switching the liquid organic waste to the catalyst washing liquid and a water treating means which is connected so that liquid coming out from the oxidative decomposition treatment furnace can be introduced.
