<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast signal transmitting apparatus capable of suppressing the variation of a multiplex rate generated when generating a PES from an ES, generating a TS packet from the PES and then multiplexing the TS packet. <P>SOLUTION: A multiplex control part 15 finds out a difference between the data volume of an ES found from ES rate information acquired from an ES encoding part 12, that is the data volume of the ES to be originally transmitted from a TS multiplex part 11, and the data volume of an ES to be practically multiplexed with a transmission TS at each fixed time, and when the difference exceeds a reference value, multiplexing processing of a TS packet for a video image is stopped, and after suppressing the difference less than the reference value, the TS packet for the video image is multiplexed with the transmission TS. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
