PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide silver halide emulsion grains and a silver halide photographic sensitive material, having hard tone and reduced timewise sensitivity variation from exposure to development, and having reduced sensitivity variation dependent on the difference in the exposure conditions. SOLUTION: The silver halide emulsion includes at least one metal complex expressed by general Formula (I) of [MX<SB>p</SB>L<SP>1</SP><SB>q</SB>L<SP>2</SP><SB>r</SB>]<SP>k</SP>, where M is a group 3-14 metallic atoms of fourth-sixth periods of the periodic table of the elements, X is a halide ion, L<SP>1</SP>is an organic ligand, L<SP>2</SP>is an inorganic ligand other than halide ion, OH<SP>-</SP>, O<SP>2-</SP>, or H<SB>2</SB>O and forming a coordinate bond with Ag<SP>+</SP>or halide ion, in a state in which it is bonded to metal atom M, p is 1 or 2, q is an integer of 1-3, r is an integer of 1-3, and k is the electric charge of a complex salt.
