PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device used for a display section etc., of electronic equipment and its manufacturing method, i.e. a liquid crystal display device which can have excellent display quality and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: After liquid crystal which contains a polymerizable component and has specific resistance of≥1×10<SP>13</SP>Ωcm at room temperature (25°C) is dropped on a TFT substrate 2, the TFT substrate 2 and a counter substrate 4 are stuck together under a vacuum and put back to the atmospheric pressure to charge liquid crystal between the TFT substrate 2 and counter substrate 4 and thus form a liquid crystal layer 6. While the liquid crystal layer 6 is applied with a designated voltage, the polymerizable component is polymerized to form polymer layers 52 and 53. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
