PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a combustion process on the basis of variation of fuel composition regardless of variation of heating value. SOLUTION: In this method of burning fuel, in particular, wastes, oxygen mass flow of a primary combustion gas is decreased, and oxygen mass flow of a secondary combustion gas is increased, when a burning rate is substantially increased.
