PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a specific scene, such as a highlight scene in a live or in nearly live program information on a reception side substantially in real time. SOLUTION: A receiving device comprises a down-converter 44, an ISDB tuner 46 and a signal separating part 50 which receive a broadcast signal for ISDB, including a video information of a standard television format and an additional information; a highlight information detecting part 58, which detects the section information that is included in the additional information in the broadcast signal for ISDB, received by the ISDB tuner 46, etc. and indicates the highlight scenes in video information; and a control part 60 which performs control so as to record the video information in storage means 62, 64, 70 and read out the highlight scenes in the video information, that is indicated by the section information detected by the highlight information detection part 58, from the storage means 62, 64, 70.
