PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic imaging apparatus by which a proper image can be photographed even when a patient has weak hearing ability by properly transmitting instruction for photographing (examination) from an examiner to the patient, so that the patient never moves inadvertently. SOLUTION: The diagnostic imaging apparatus 1 is provided with: a means 2 for irradiating the patient P with X-rays; a detector 3 for detecting the X-rays transmitting through the patient P; a bed 6 for positioning the photographing position of the patient P in a photographing area; and a top plate 7 which is provided to the bed 6 and where a head rest 9 where a recessed part 91 for placing the head of the lying patient P is formed is installed. In the recessed part 91 of the head rest 9, a bone conduction speaker 10 for reporting photographing instruction from the examiner is installed so as to abut on the head part of the patient P.
