<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium which can allow its record to be reproduced by a laser light with a wavelength of not more than 450 nm, preferably not more than 410 nm and has excellent recording characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: This optical information recording medium comprises a cyanin coloring matter represented by the following formula (I), wherein Q1 and Q2 are each a non-metallic atomic group required for completing a 5- or 6-membered heteroring, R1 and R2 are each a 1-8C alkyl group, a 1-8C aralkyl group, a 1-8C alkenyl or a 1-8C aryl group, G1 and G5 are each a hydrogen atom, a 1-8C alkyl group, a 1-8C aryl group, a 1-8C alkoxy group or a 1-8C acyl group, G2, G3 and G4 are each a 1-8C alkyl group, a 1-8C alkoxy group, a 1-8C aralkyl group, a 1-8C alkenyl group or a 1-8C aryl group, but these do not form a ring by connecting with each other, X<SP>n-</SP>represents an anion with an "n" value to neutralize an electric charge and may become a substituting group to be introduced to Q1, Q2, R1, R2, G1, G2, G3, G4 or G5 to form an inner salt, and "n" is an integer of not less than 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
