<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DHCP user apparatus and a DHCP authentication system capable of immediately making communication even when the DHCP user apparatus is replaced. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of replacing the DHCP user apparatus 1, a user extracts a DUID storage memory 11 wherein a client DUID is registered from the DHCP user apparatus 1 before the replacement. The user inserts the DUID storage memory 11 to the DHCP user apparatus 1 after the replacement. The control section 12 reads the client DUID from the DUID storage memory 11. Since the DUID storage memory 11 stores the client DUID, the DHCP user apparatus 1 receives a read response for describing the client DUID from the DUID storage memory 11.
