<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate making method for a negative lithographic printing original plate capable of image recording by laser exposure, having good developability, ensuring high printing durability, and capable of suppressing the generation of development scum. <P>SOLUTION: In the plate making method for a lithographic printing plate, the lithographic printing original plate having a photosensitive layer containing (A) a sensitizing dye having absorption at 405 nm wavelength, (B) a hexaarylbiimidazole compound, (C) a polymerizable compound and (D) a binder polymer and (E) a chain transfer agent and a protective layer in this order on a hydrophilic support is exposed with laser light of 350-450 nm and developed with a developer of pH 10.0-12.5 containing 1.0-10.0 mass% of an anionic surfactant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
