The invention relates to a method for processing a workpiece (21) according to which the workpiece (21) formed from layers (3) is made of an electrically conductive material by a rapid prototyping method. The inventive method consists in bringing the layer-formed workpiece (21) into contact in such a way that it is used in the form of an anode, in placing a tool (1) in front of the workpiece processable area in such a way that a gap (50) remains, in bringing the tool (1) in the form of the anode into contact and in introducing a conductive medium (32) into the gap (50) in such a way that the application of voltage generates an electric current and metal ions are released form the workpiece (21) by electrolysis, thereby producing the defined removal of the workpiece (21) material. A method for producing a tool usable in the form of an electrode (1) for an electrochemical processing method for electrochemically processing the workpiece (21) and the electrode (1) for the electrochemical method for electrochemically processing the workpiece (21) are also disclosed. |
